He studied medicine in Edinburgh (Scotland), but gave it up.  He researched the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific from 1831 to 1836.  The boat he travelled in was called “The Beagle”.  When he finished his work, he wrote a book.  This book is called “On the Origin of Species”.  Darwin presents the theory of evolution in the aforementioned book.
