The Egyptians, together with the Mesopotamian inhabitants, were the first to use writing. Thanks to that, they produced a large amount of works of all kinds: literary, religious, scientific, and technical.

They were important mathematicians and very capable physicians, experts in surgery and the treatments for different diseases.

They also developed efficient embalming to conserve the dead bodies.

They created a form of writing called “Hieroglyphics”, whose symbols represented words and consonants. As Greek was known, they could find out the contents of the other writings.
