The Egyptian Economy

The Egyptian economy was based in agriculture and ranching, with handicrafts and commerce also playing a role.
Peasant	The land was fertilized annually by the rising water levels of the Nile, and on this land they grew grain to make bread and beer, vegetables, linen to make fabric, etc. Bread, onion, and beer made up the basic diet of the working class.	Grape harvest

Some tools Ranching was primarily of cattle. The Egyptians were skilled craftsmen. They made pottery, jewelry, and fabric, some of which they exported to other states. Sandals Ring

Comerciaban con otros pueblos, fundamentalmente, a través del Mediterráneo. Utilizaban el río Nilo como vía de comunicación y transporte de mercancías.
