Border

It is the force that is caused by the weight of the air column above the surface.

Anticyclone

When the air exerts a greater force than the average weight of air on Earth, this is called anticyclone.  Having an excess of air, it should be released.  The air goes from the upper part Atmospheric pressure is measured with the barometer.  It is expressed in millibars. , creating stable weather

Cyclone

When the weight of the air is less, it produces what is referred to as a cyclone, depression or area of low pressure.  Since it has less air, it receives the excess air from the anticyclones.  It enters underneath and rises to fill the upper layers, producing instable weather.

Representation

Through lines that join points of equal pressure, called isobars.

Measurement

Atmospheric pressure is measured with the barometer.  It is expressed in millibars.
